This project changed several times during its completion as I found images that were better suited for the design. Originally I was going for a representative totem for mammal, bird, reptile, fish, amphibian and insect. That gave the design six panels but also made the shade too flat so I took one out… the moth, and made it into a moon catcher for Ryan – he is the Moth, awake all night, asleep all day, quiet, gentle, vulnerable and ellusive – like the Moth.
