Aaron’s Harley

Aaron and Beckett

Sister-in-law, Marlene Middleton, commissioned a Christmas gift for her son, Aaron. She sent me several photos of Aaron’s Heritage Softail Deluxe Harley Davidson motorcycle from which I developed the pattern to 8.5″ x 14″. Here is a photo of Aaron and his little nephew Beckett, posing for the shot.

With nearly 100 pieces (some smaller than a match head), it was a satisfying challenge to puzzle it all together. Although there isn’t much color in this piece, it is still mesmerizing with the mirrored pieces I used to depict the chrome… and Aaron’s bike has lots of chrome.

I love small-piece projects like this. It gave me many hours of quiet finger work… time to think about family and happy memories of times spent with the Middletons.

Thank you, Marlene, for this wonderful commission. Merry Christmas, Aaron, and Happy Trails. “Life is a journey. Enjoy the ride.”

I am very pleased to present Aaron’s Harley.
